Lando Norris Edges Out Piastri in Sao Paulo Practice Session
Lando Norris has outscored his teammate at each of the past five race weekends.
Lando Norris edged out team-mate and title rival the Australian for the top spot in the final moments of the practice session at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
The British racer, who seized the championship lead from Piastri by a single point after his victory in the Mexican Grand Prix two weeks ago, topped the Australian by a mere 0.023s.
Before then, Oscar Piastri had been the leading McLaren during the running before sprint qualifying scheduled for the evening session.
The Red Bull star, the only other driver in the championship fight, sitting 36 points Norris, ended up in P17 as his Red Bull team opted for a alternative strategy.

The Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso was in fourth, with Sauber's Bortoleto ahead of the Mercedes of Russell and the Alpine of Gasly and Williams' Sainz.
